PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IS TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE INTERNET WITH SOPA! (Stop Online Piracy Act). HOLLYWOOD is hurting for money, due to the garbage it produces. So, along comes the SOPA with the excuse that it will protect copyrights. False. What is WILL do is result in higher prices for medicore entertainment and broad internet censorship. Do you want the internet to end up like cable TV? If not, STOP SOPA! Write an e-mail to your local congressional representative or call them, even a voicemail is okay. But do something! This is an unreasonable act. We support copyright interests, but we do not support letting Hollywood control the internet.
SOPA will let Hollywood and the TV studios decide what websites you can or cannot visit. Accusations of "piracy" will run out of control, making the "fair use" doctrine completely meaningless. Prices for all existing entertainment coming out of Hollywood will increase. Cable prices will also go up. Next, free speech will become the target. The government will move to shut down search engines and private web pages. Soon, the internet as you know it will not exist, and when you try to connect to your favorite web site all you see is a picture of a policeman threatening to come into your home because you downloaded INTERNET CONTRABAND! Wait and see, or make your objection to SOPA known now!
